Hearts Break

Hearts break… Not literally… But metaphorically… And that’s the thing… That’s why it hurts… Because we can’t fix a broken heart… I mean we can’t cure what we cannot see… So we just let it be… Hearts break… Not literally… But metaphorically… We get used to having that person hug us when the world is closing in… And we get used to those kisses that makes us feel like we can fly… Doing the unthinkable… We get used to late night talks, evening walks, and random fucks… Hearts break… Not literally… But metaphorically… Making love to the symphonies of our heartbeats… Arguing to make up… Wake up and turn the other way fed up… Hearts break… Not literally… But metaphorically… Because when that person… That significant other that is no longer there to do these things… Our heart feels lost… And it wanders for days… Searching for a familiar touch… And it cries for your love… It’s crazy… Is when that person is no longer there to feed your soul they have total control of your heart not knowing a damn thing… Feeling as if you’re invading your own body and mind… And we suffer… We try to mend our hurting hearts ourselves on the outside trying to cure ourselves on the inside… And pride is a hell of a drug we overdose on… While grasping for another chance to love with… A broken heart… Hearts break… Not literally… But metaphorically.. And so I’m dead living in a world with empty souls who search for light in dark nights… Metaphorically of course…
